On Saturday, 29 April 2014, Crossing Bridges Africa hosted an event, “Using the Pen for Justice: How writers transform society”, at Bibliophilia in Woodstock. LAPA Publishers was an event sponsor.

Nancy Richards led a panel of authors, namely Brandan Reynolds, Anastasia de Vries and Izak de Vries. Karin Schimke was also meant to be part of the panel, but she took ill.

The discussion looked at justice in a broad sense, and at giving voices to the voiceless.

After the panel discussion Brandan Reynolds talked about his work that was on display in Bibliophilia. He draws editorial cartoons for Business DayWeekend Argus and Rapport.
